teach me to love with open hands. Not the anxious love that monitors and manages, not the bargain love that keeps receipts — the love that wants the other's flourishing even more than its own comfort. Where I have confused love with possession, correct me gently. Where I have been possessed and called it devotion, give me words and feet to reclaim myself. Let my loving be wide enough for freedom and steady enough for faithfulness, both at once.
Let me love as you love: holding everything, grasping nothing. Amen.
